7) Fill her up, please
Ensure that your plate is full of loads of greens: lettuces, cruciferous greens (cabbage family), sprouts and wild greens. Add some micro-algae to your smoothies or green juices. There is nothing like filling up on super nutritious raw and living foods to ban all cravings. Think of adding some healthy fats (flax oil, nut and seed oils, coconut oil) to your daily diet. A reasonnable dose of fat helps satiate the raw food enthusiast.8) Cupboard on the wall, what hold thee?
The best weapon in your battle against cravings consists of prevention, pure and simple: get rid of all temptation! Clean out the cupboards, the fridge and the freezer of all the foods that do not align themselves with your raw and living foods lifestyle. Don't forget that bag of candy in the car's glove compartment!9) Treat yourself
Take a little time once a week to prepare raw goodies for the following week. Falling for ice cream? Why not prepare a batch of raw vegan ice cream or sherbet? Going for chips? Try dehydrating a few varieties of salty crackers. That cake giving you "the look"? Why not try one of the infinite number of raw cakes out there. They have nothing to envy the cooked variety, let me tell you! With your cupboards, frigdge and freezer full of raw treats, you are less likely to crave the cooked unhealthy stuff.10) Keep busy
Make a very long list of activities, sports, events and experiences you want to partake in. Now, get out there and start working down that list! You will be so busy savoring what life has to offer you will simply not have anytime left to think about anything else.
It can be difficult to break free of a lifetime of cravings, food addictions and compulsive behaviors around food. But take small desicive steps in the right direction. You can make it! Think of food as fuel for your body not something to get comfort from. After all, life is more that just the food we eat, is it not?
