Planning for Raw Parenthood-Part 2

Preconceptual care has never meant so much as it does nowadays. With a little know-how, some simple and easy tricks, you can make all the difference in the world, namely your world and that of your unborn child.

For all expecting mothers and fathers, priority number one is to improve their general health in order to create the healthiest, strongest and most adorable baby possible. Simple additions to your everyday life will ensure success.

Starting out your journey on a raw and living food diet will help tremendously health-wise. You'll thank yourself, later on, for the extra energy this lifestyle brings (when baby is running around non-stop morning, noon and night!). Let's see how easy and simple it can be to be vibrantly healthy. To read about the nutrition side of this planning, please read my last blog on the subject here.

1) Exercise

Is exercise part of your daily regimen? It should if you are aiming for optimal health. Eating raw and living food does not dispense one from physical activity. We live entirely too sedentary lives: our bodies were designed to move. So move around, outside preferably, and break out a sweat! Think of all the toxins you are releasing. Walking is great for the body and the mind. A good 20 minutes a day should do you good.

2) Sleep

Have you ever seen a sleep-deprived person? Not the picture of health, are they? So, make sure to get to bed early enough to ensure you get all the sleep your body requires to rest and regenerate properly. Try not to eat before bedtime also: digesting food while sleeping is not good for you and hinders all the cleaning and regenerating that should be taking place during the night. Ensure your room is comfortable, well-ventilated, dark and quiet. Nighty-night!

3) Cleanliness

With all the products out there designed to clean our bodies and our houses, you'd think this one would be easy. But be mindful about choosing products that do not give off noxious fumes, that are made of non-toxic ingredients and that are ecologically responsible. Read those labels. From body soap to mouthwash, to toothpaste and facial cream, there are wonderful alternatives available that will nourish you from the outside in. Choose eco-friendly products for the house.

4) Balance

Take time out of your busy schedule to replenish your precious energy. Do this often, not only when you feel drained. Make it part of your day, if you can. Time to relax and unwind is just as important as exercice or good-quality living food. Meditate, read, relax: it doesn't have to be complicated nor cost any money.

These four simple steps will enhance your raw and living food lifestyle, increasing your health and vitality. And your fertility also! Try to avoid the obvious destructive habits: alcohol, smoking, recreational drugs, unfiltered tap water, polluted air (unventilated rooms), sleepless nights, as well as electromagnetic pollution. And if you feel a little under the weather, instead of masking the symptoms with over-the-counter pharmaceuticals, go the natural route with immune-enhancing herbs and remedies.

All in all, seven easy steps you can take to increase your health and vitality. Why not give them a try? Healthy parenthood awaits you.
